ST Math
See how students build confidence, perseverance, and a stronger relationship with math through ST Math.
A visual approach to lasting math mastery.
Instead of starting with abstract language and formulas, ST Math introduces mathematical ideas through visual puzzles students explore and solve. Students build conceptual understanding before connecting what they see and experience to symbols, language, and procedures.
This approach builds the conceptual understanding students need to make sense of math and supports strong conceptual math learning. Used alongside any core curriculum, ST Math strengthens conceptual understanding, builds persistence, and develops the problem-solving skills students need to access grade-level math.
How can a game change the way students learn math?
ST Math uses spatial-temporal reasoning—the natural human ability to understand how things relate, move, and change over time—to help students build mathematical understanding through interaction and feedback. As students work through each puzzle, they test ideas, recognize patterns, and learn from immediate visual feedback before symbols and language are introduced.
With JiJi® as their guide, students discover patterns, persist through productive struggle, and gain confidence. They begin thinking like mathematicians—not just solving problems, but making sense of them.
A patented approach designed around how students build understanding.
ST Math gives students access to mathematical ideas before introducing symbols and language. Through visual models, immediate feedback, and progressively challenging puzzles, students develop understanding they can apply in new situations.
Concepts before symbols
Students experience mathematical ideas visually before connecting them to language, notation, and procedures.
Visual feedback in the moment
Animated feedback helps students see the mathematical consequences of their choices and revise their thinking.
Productive struggle
Students test ideas, learn from mistakes, and develop the persistence to keep working through challenging problems.
Mastery before progression
Puzzles adapt and build in complexity, allowing students to develop understanding before moving forward
Access beyond language
Visual models reduce language barriers and give more students an entry point into rigorous mathematical thinking.
Thinking made visible
Math Puzzle Talks and classroom conversations help students explain, connect, and extend what they have learned.
A year later, students still remember how they solved their ST Math puzzles. That is powerful.

Proven to improve mathematics achievement, at scale.
Across independent studies and diverse student populations, students using ST Math demonstrate stronger mathematics achievement than comparable students who do not use the program.
-
ESSA Tier 1 evidence
Strong evidence—not just research-based claims ST Math holds ESSA’s highest evidence rating, supported by four third-party studies.
-
Proven repeatedly and at scale
500,000+ students studied More than 150 district studies across four consecutive years show consistent impact across settings, assessments, and school communities.
-
Impact across all learners
Gains across every student group National analyses show comparable learning gains across student populations—not only for select students, schools, or implementations.
